Ceci Bell

Hi, I’m Ceci Bell!

I am super excited to design and teach these courses because my passion is my purpose—writing and teaching about writing and other educational topics. I love ALL types of writing, however, fiction is my first love 😊

My 25-year professional career in the nonprofit sector, state government, and higher education includes experiences as a public affairs and public relations coordinator; technical editor and writer; educational policy analyst; project manager; and community college and university instructor in English, education, and research writing.

Presently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in curriculum and instruction with a major in English education. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in creative writing and master’s degree in English education. My research interests include the professional preparation of English educators, in and out of school literacies of adolescents and young adults and positive cultural identity formation, and development of ways for nonprofit, community-based programs to better support public schools with after-school and mentoring programs.
